"Staying Alive & Co" - Wystawa prac Kasi Kałdowski

25.07.2020

Malarka i kurator wystaw, szkolona w londyńskim Central St. Martin’s School of Arts na wydziałach kuratora sztuki, ceramiki i tradycyjnych technik graficznych.  Do 2014 roku tworzyła i wystawiała przede wszystkim w Wielkiej Brytanii, gdzie spędziła większość swojego dorosłego życia.

Natomiast obrazy malarki można znaleźć w prywatnych zbiorach w Wielkiej Brytanii, Polsce, Niemczech, Szwajcarii, Francji, Holandii, Belgii, Hiszpanii, Włoszech, Litwie i w Stanach Zjednoczonych.

Malarka serdecznie zaprasza umówionych miłośników sztuki do swojej pracowni w Ornecie.

A painter and an art curator, Kasia owes her artistic education to the famous Central St. Martin’s School of Arts in London, where she studied an art curating, ceramics and traditional printing techniques.   Until 2014 she painted and exhibited mainly in the United Kingdom, where she spent most of her adult life. Currently she lives and works in Warmia, Poland.

She had over 70 exhibitions to date, and exhibited, among others in the famous The Mall Galleries in London.

While in the UK she was an active member of a few art organisations, including APA (Association of Polish Artists in Great Britain), where she is famous for curating and mentoring of the ‘Legacy’ exhibition, which was a commemoration of Polish artists of the beginning of 20th century, by the artists from the beginning of the 21st century.  A frieze, ‘Creation of the World after Witkacy’ created by 9 artists motivated by the artist/art curator, formed a main part of this exhibition.  The frieze is now part of the University of Torun’s emigrant artists’ collection. The artist’s own works could be found in private collections in the United Kingdon, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, France, Holland, Belgium, Lithuania, Italy and the USA.

In her paintings she experiments with different techniques.  From landscapes inspired by Turner to abstract and avant-garde.  From traditional to concept and back, she uses different styles to best reflect the mood of an image or a message that she wants to convey.

The artist cordially invites (by appointment) art lovers to her studio in Orneta.
