Lidzbark Warmiński Health Resort | Brine graduation tower | Salt cave

Lidzbark Warmiński to become an official health resort on January 1, 2026

As of January 1, 2026, Lidzbark Warmiński officially joins the ranks of Polish health resorts. This marks a milestone in the town's history, representing the culmination of years of effort by local authorities, specialists, and institutional partners who have consistently worked to develop the town's therapeutic, recreational, and health-promoting functions.

A health resort rooted in nature and quality of life

Health resort status is not merely a prestigious title; above all, it confirms the exceptional qualities of Lidzbark Warmiński. The city has met rigorous standards regarding environmental quality, climate, technical infrastructure, and the availability of green spaces. Clean air, abundant nature, the Łyna River valley, and a harmonious blend of history and modernity create ideal conditions for medical treatment, rejuvenation, and relaxation.

Brine Graduation Tower

It measures 100 meters in length, and its shape resembles a snail 🐌—the symbol of the Cittaslow International Network of Cities for Good Living, of which Lidzbark Warmiński has been a member since 2006.

Lidzbark Warmiński boasts a long tradition as a health resort. Before the war, the town was a *Luftkurort* (air health resort), attracting visitors from all over Germany.

Located in the immediate vicinity of the graduation tower is the Symsarna Valley Health Resort Park, featuring walking and cycling paths, shelters, benches, footbridges, and information boards highlighting local points of interest as well as the local flora and fauna.

Certified for its therapeutic climate, Lidzbark Warmiński offers treatment for cardiovascular diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, neurological conditions, and metabolic disorders. Treatments provided here include aerotherapy, heliotherapy, kinesiotherapy, cryotherapy, physical therapy, and balneotherapy.

Salt Cave

This is a room lined with blocks of salt, featuring a unique microclimate that has a positive effect on human health. It is equipped with professional heating and ventilation systems that enhance the release of therapeutic elements and facilitate inhalation. Designed for therapy, relaxation, and recreation, the space features comfortable loungers, while atmospheric music and lighting create a pleasant ambiance.

Thanks to a unique microclimate, negative ionization, and optimal humidity levels, salt caves offer numerous health benefits. The air within is saturated with elements such as iodine, copper, bromine, magnesium, calcium, potassium, sodium, selenium, and iron. Spending time in a salt cave supports thyroid function—helping to manage hypothyroidism—and has a positive effect on the heart and nervous system.

Salt cave sessions also benefit the skin by improving circulation, soothing irritation, and slowing the aging process. Furthermore, the copper released in the caves possesses antifungal properties and aids in hemoglobin synthesis. Salt caves are particularly recommended for individuals struggling with acne, atopic dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, or other dermatological issues.

The high concentration of iodine is highly beneficial for the respiratory system. Salt cave therapy is recommended for those suffering from conditions affecting the lungs and bronchi, such as rhinitis, recurrent bronchitis or pneumonia, and hay fever.

The various elements released in the salt cave also have a positive impact on the digestive system. Source: uzdrowiskolidzbarkwarminski.pl
