To the south of the parish church you shall find the above mentioned bishop’s gardens from the end of the 15th century with the garden pavilions and little palaces built by bishop Ignacy Krasicki, which served as the summer residences.
In 1770 bishop Potocki extended the garden pavilion into the classicist form which amazes us until today. The orangery interiors have been re-built in the 19th and 20th century. At present, merely the central hall of 8 walls still stands untouched. On the walls of our Orangery you can admire the art of the Krasicki era as well as a part of a painting presenting an allegory of seasons.
On the premises of the Krasicki Orangery there is the Pedagogic Library now.
The orangery interiors are available to the guests on:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm,
Saturday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm,
Wednesday – closed.
